Amsterdam meeting house het schip

This small meeting house is part of residential complex ‘Het Schip’ (The Ship), designed by Michel de Klerk in 1917. The meeting house on the inner courtyard is a unique feature of the complex and was initially intended to be used as a meeting room for public housing association Eigen Haard. After going through a plethora of designations, the house was not used for a number of years.

Its different users had significantly altered the interior decoration and little of the historical elements had been conserved. Through intensive archival research, we tried to retrieve as many pieces of the original puzzle as possible.
